The owners purchased the property 3 years ago and have made significant changes. Amy welcomed us to the Inn. She called us a few days prior to ensure an easy arrival and we were even able to get our rooms before 4 pm. Amy also came To get us at breakfast to ask us if we wanted the house tour, which was lovely. We took the 2 rooms in the cottage by the pool and outside the house. They were clean and comfortable. If anything a few more electrical outlets would be helpful for phones. Dinner is available with reservations and was full the night we ate there. Breakfast is included. We stayed 2 nights so we could leisurely tour the Vicksburg civil was national park.

Excellent breakfast served from 8-9AM. Good individual coffee maker in the room for early risers who need coffee before 8! We frequented the bar the night we arrived and enjoyed chatting with other guests and barkeep. The friendly owner Kendra made a point of greeting and visiting with each of us and telling us about the history of the mansion, including pointing out cannon balls that hit the house during the siege of Vicksburg. The period furnishings throughout the house were lovely. Guests have access to the amazing gentleman's parlor, a spacious front veranda, and a rooftop area overlooking the river. You really get a sense of history by staying at the antebellum Inn at Cedar Grove.

What a pretty antebellum home! Beautiful bed and breakfast full of 1800s antiques. The room we stayed in was the John Klein Jr (room #5). King bed. Room was the perfect size for the 2 of us. The bathroom had a shower in it. The only thing I'd add is the shower floor is slippery and could use a mat inside for stability. The staff is extremely friendly and personable. There's a bar on property, and the restaurant served the most delectable pork tenderloin with a cognac peppercorn sause that was to die for!

The property is beautiful and the period interior design takes you back to that time and age. The inn is so beautifully decorated with antiques, furniture and pictures that give you a glimpse into the lives of the elite in the 1800’s. The host was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the house; we really enjoyed the tour. The staff were equally friendly and served a great breakfast which you can eat with a lovely view of the backyard. We also enjoyed the ability to get a drink from the bar and find a relaxing seat on their rooftop deck to look out at the river and watch the sunset. We will definitely be back!

The Inn at Cedar Grove is nestled in the heart of the historical district of Vicksburg, MS. There are views of the Yazoo river from many of the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner service was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make our wedding anniversary extra special with a complimentary piece of oreo cheesecake (also super delicious!) The rooms were spacious with outdoor seating on the patio. Separate shower staff from a garden tub in the bathroom. Overall, lovely and would recommend!

Not just an overnight stay but a real destination. Plan to stay for awhile and enjoy a home tour with Amy. The more you learn about the property the more interesting it becomes. The breakfast was far superior and an on site restaurant means there is no reason to leave unless a tour of the Vicksburg is on your agenda. The home is lovingly preserved for visitors to enjoy. Our room had a modern bath with shower and everything you need with a lot of history. First class all the way!

Breakfast was good the service was even better. We’re not much on grits but was excellent flavor texture just not for us . They kept asking how everything was and offered seconds on fruit cups . Our room and entire Mansion will carry you to a simpler not so busy time. We met locals who treated us like cousins and invited us to a Birthday Celebration on the lawn …. Such Fun ! They brought our drinks to the pool without our asking they were very attentive to all our needs and helped make our time easy and comfortable and fun .

It was a beautiful property. Rooms were impressive and adhered to the charm of the 1840’s when the inn was built. The entire property was a look into early southern charm and opulence. Staff was exceptional as was the bar and dining.

Charming, historic Inn. The owners and staff members were courteous; a perfect example of Southern Charm. In the morning, after an excellent Southern breakfast, we were given a tour of the Inn. There were so many interesting stories that we learned when the history of the place was laid out.

Being a bit of a history buff, staying at Cedar Grove is literally staying in a museum. The hostess of the Inn, Amy, was beyond gracious, plus she provided a very good tour of the house and provided other recommendations about Vicksburg. The rest of the staff made me feel welcomed. Finally, the executive chef, Chris, provided very good dinners. Hopefully, I'll have a return stay as I explore the Mississippi River history.
